Therapeutic cloning is entirely different and doesn't involve the creation of a perfectly copied human being, un like reproductive cloning, where in therapeutic cloning no sperm fertilization is involved and no implantation in the uterus to creat a child .

Therapeutic cloning in another phrase for procedure known as SCNT (somatic cell nuclear transfere)

Steps of therapeutic cloning:

1-Extract the nucleuse from an egg.

2-Take the somatic cell " which is any body cell other than an egg or sperm " and also extract the nucleuse from this cell.
(In practical human application,the  somatic cell is taken from a patient who requires stem cells transplant to treat a health condition disease)

3-The nucleuse that is extracted from the somatic cell is then inserted in the egg which had its nucleuse previously removed.
( The egg now contain the patient genetic material)

4-The egg is stimulated to divide and their after forms clusters of cells known as blastocyst.
