1-Binding between the LDL receptors on the cell and the ligand (LDL carrying the cholesterol) with ionic bond .
2-Adaptin in the cytosol bind to the tail of the LDL receptor that is protruding into the cytosol.
3-Adaptin induces clathrin molecules which start coating the membrane , the clathrin coat causes the membrane to bent forming a vescical that buds off inside the cell talking with it the LDL receptors and the LDL carrier binded to it .
4-The vescical un coat ( clathrin removed)
and fuse with the endosomes which low pH and causes LDL receptors to release the LDL particles ( carrying the cholesterol).
**The LDL receptors are recycled and degenerated.
**The LDL particles need to release the cholesterol,so, it is delivered to the lysozomes which contain hydrolytic enzymes that can digest the LDL particles and the cholesterol is liberated into the cytosol.
